Just another manic Monday...

I’m cranky today.

Happy bank holiday Monday! Yeah sure, I’m stuck at work, as usual. I do mind working on bank holidays, it’s starting to get on me nerves.
Here’s how it usually happens: I hear it on the Friday morning on the radio, getting ready for work, “Yeah! Bank holiday week-end, great fun, let’s get pissed… yeah again….” and then it gets worse over the week-end. There’s always a bastard around me who has a great plan for Monday and asks me to join in until I say the killer-phrase: I’m working on Monday. And then comes the teasing: “ah, poor thing, ahahah, we’ll be sleeping late… you’ll have to wake up at 6.30….blah blah blah…”
Fuck off.
Don’t get me wrong, I do get bank holidays, except that it’s the French ones and I don’t give a banana about them, especially as they’re all on Sundays this year. How clever. I live in Ireland and all the people I know around me don’t work when I do. But then I get the French days so I don’t work when everybody else is…. Which means that I’m stuck on my own all day, but hey, I get to watch daytime TV. What an exciting perspective.
At least weather’s shit today.
Anyway.
