Diary

... and I haven't written a post in a while. For my defense I've been incredibly busy, especially this last week. I've been caught in the usual pre-Christmas rush and can't realise how fast time has gone. I'm officially on holidays tonight and can't wait to catch up on sleep. The last few weeks were all about work, job-hunting, X-mas parties, catching up with friends, and shopping (and I don't mean it as a leisure).
I went to the Damien Dempsey gig at the Olympia Theatre on wednesday, it was brilliant, and kinda mad, and the craic was good. Most of the last album was covered as well as the classics, Colony, Celtic Tiger, Factories, Party On and he ended the show on the coolest Christmas song in the history of music (not overdoing it!): The Pogues' Fairytale of New York. I was out the night after that again (i.e yesterday), and tonight again for a workmate's leaving party who's going back to the States after 6 years in Ireland, a marriage and a baby. He's a great bloke and I'm genuinely sad to see him leave.
A hectic week it has been indeed but I'm now all packed and ready to leave for France tomorrow, I'll be skiing in the Southern Alps and I'm looking forward to relaxing a little.
So I'm off....
