I remember a time....

... when one could travel from Dublin to France for affordable fares. I've just booked my plane ticket to Lyon for this summer, and the fares have gone mad! Actually, not only the fare, but the taxes are more than doubling the price.
Anyway, my flight is booked and I'll be in Lyon for the first week of July... it's nowhere exotic and I'd rather go to San Francisco or Reykjavik but that'll do for now.

For now my life is all about work, but I'm not complaining. My new managerial position is quite stressful and busy, but very interesting. I gave my first recruitment interview today :-)
So I don't seem to have much of a life at the moment. Enough to go to the theatre (Waiting for Godot... which I completely forgot was originally written in French) and a few nights down the pub for the leaving party of a lad I worked with and who became a great friend. Funny how all the people I like seem to always be going away at some point. And it is hard to keep in touch on the long run when you're away... well, life is all about people coming and going, and leaving good memories. Most of the time anyway.

So there.
Elvis keeps coming back these days. He's feeling more and more at home. Sometimes too much to my liking, but I guess he understood there's no messing with me! I kicked him out of the appartment the other day, Tom was cooking seafood and the poor thing couldn't handle himself anymore. He went mental over the food, jumping all over the place... So, out kitty! That'll teach you! Apart from that, he's very much a cat, and very much likes to sleep on my chair, eat the food and leave when he's full and rested... fuckin' opportunist....
